2026 Grants-In-Aid Application

    1. Read the March 21, 2026 competition rules carefully and completely. Rules change every year, so review them with your teacher and parents. Visit www.williamsburgmusicclub.org.

    2. Consult Junior (grades 6 - 8) or Senior (grades 9 - 12) Suggested Repertoire for guidelines on selections to be performed. Note: Applicants in the Piano and Strings categories must perform at least one selection from the Baroque or Classical repertoire.

    3. Complete all required information on the application. Incomplete applications will not be considered and will be returned.

    4. Include a photo (school photo is acceptable) with the application.

    5. Include a check for $40.00 for the application fee (or $30.00 for students of WMC, Inc. member teachers), payable to WMC, Inc. Payments should be mailed to:

    6. The applicant, parent/guardian, and teacher must sign the statement at the bottom.

    7. Eligibility: The applicant must be a resident of, or attend a school (including private or home school) in, Williamsburg, James City County, or York County, VA. Note: Applicants who reside outside these areas are not eligible. Music student members of the Williamsburg Youth Orchestra in good standing are eligible.

    8. All applications must be postmarked no later than February 13, 2026. The Committee will notify applicants via email of acceptance by February 21, 2026. Preferred communication is by email.

    9. If you have not received a confirmation email by February 21, 2026, contact the GIA Committee at: auditions@williamsburgmusicclub.org.
